My interior design debut! 🎉 I was trusted with the awesome task of redesigning ‘The Chill Room’ at Sun & Co. This room is a space in the house used as a quiet space for alone time, meditation, yoga, workshops, skillshares and movie nights with the projector. 

I wanted to create lots of comfy seating using floor cushions to promote grounding. A cosy atmosphere with lots of cushions and warm lighting. Working with the colours of the original tiled floor and exposed brick wall. Plus being a coliving space I needed to use colours that wouldn’t get dirty too quickly and also durable fabrics. I wanted to keep the space very minimal and airy with every item being very intentionally chosen. I also wanted the furniture to be easily moved and flexible (the floor cushions can easily be stacked on top of each other) so the space could adapt to different activities. And finishing the room with plants that don’t need much light as the room is quite dark, hence why it’s great for using a projector. 

I also feng-shued the room, clearing all the old energy out before bringing in the new furniture. 

I LOVED this creative process from brainstorming with the team, to choosing a colour scheme, chatting to local interior designers to get their opinion on how to work best with the original tiles, sourcing the items and installing the room.
